My name is Chantal Baltissen, I was born in Australia in 1986 at Liverpool hospital in New South Wales. I come from a European family of Dutch and French speaking. I am a self taught artist and have been creating art all my life. I like to be free to create using all mediums.
I am inspired by fantasy films, nature, my worldly travels and eras of history particularly ancient times. I create for paid commission work and for my own personal joy. I work in large and small scale projects of drawings using pencils and markers, painting with oils and acrylic paints on canvas and board, charcoal, soft and hard pastel, sculpting out of clay, costume design and hand sewing and using the sewing machine, photography and generating computer graphics and illustrations. I studied a Diploma in Graphic Design at the TAFE institute at Campbelltown and Kograh campus during my early 20's. The course consisted of; Computing for Graphic Design, Art, Photography, Typography, Print and packaging, Colour for Graphic Design. |
