Chantal Baltissen a.k.a. Mermaid Chantal is a professional real life mermaid and an underwater stunt model who travels Australia wide performing at live events, corporate functions, children's parties, schools (Book week readings) and charity projects. She creates some of her own functional yet highly exquisite premium scaled and fabric mermaid tails for land and underwater performances.
Chantal is also a certified scuba diver with a great passion for the ocean. She has dived in the open ocean around the world swimming alongside sharks, seals, dolphins, bat-rays and many other beautiful marine life. She enjoys educating children on the important of protecting our marine life.
Chantal is available to hire for events, film, TV, promotional and product campaigns.

I received my scuba certification and extensive training through NAUI when I was living in California as a permanent resident in 2012. Since this time I have scuba dived through the giant sea kelp forests off the coast of California and Catalina Island and many parts of Australian waters of Sydney, NSW and Adelaide, South Australia.
